Live stock market updates: The major benchmark indices started Tuesday's session on a low note, weighed down by losses in US equities futures and calm Asian markets.
In other trading, the BSE Sensex fell 100 points to 54,210, while the NSE Nifty fell 35 points to 16,180.

The logistics behemoth Delhivery made a lacklustre debut on the BSE, debuting at a 1.2 percent premium to the issue price of Rs 487 per share.
On the BSE, Venus Pipes & Tubes debuted at Rs 335, a 2.76 percent premium to the issue price of Rs 326.
Aside from that, the Nifty metals index, which had fallen by over 8% the day before, was seen marginally recovering. The index increased by 1%, while PSBs rose by 1%. Both were driving increases in their respective sectors.
Nifty energy, banks, and auto wallets were among the gainers. FMCG and IT, on the other hand, were losing money.
